After hacking through six-foot high brambles, & stumbling upon numerous old tractors, John Wakefield has found yet two more elderly, long abandoned, Bedford coaches, in a south Lincolnshire agricultural scrapyard. They are 1947 Bedford OB/Duple Vista, JCV 30, a Cornish registration. New Hawkey of Newquay, it was acquired by Wing’s of Sleaford in March 1954 & withdrawn by them in August 1969. It still carries the Wing' s name on the destination box. Both coaches then went as non-PSV's to Tinsley of Holbeach, (vegetable packers), as works transport for their employees. Sadly both Bedfords are well passed restoration but can still yield a few useful spares. Contact Mr. Barnes on 01406 362197 or mobile 07836 540606
